Kara has been Maya’s best friend for almost 15 years and they have been through every major life event since then together. Kara is currently pursuing a PhD at University of Northern Colorado and loves to play video games in her free time.

Olivia and Maya met playing softball together in college. Since then, their friendship has grown to cross states and time zones. Olivia is a social worker at a prison in the Seattle area. She loves to be active, hang out with friends, and eat all the bread.

Ara was Maya’s roommate in physical therapy school and they became fast friends. Ara was present from the very beginning of Maya’s relationship with Jamal and has always been a big supporter of their love. Ara currently lives in Tacoma Washington and works as an acute care physical therapist, she loves being outside in the sun, reading, and music.

Vanessa played softball and worked in the athletic training room with Maya in college. They spent countless hours together in locker rooms, the library, and eventually on zoom in the years since. Vanessa is currently finishing her doctorate of physical therapy and is planning to find her next job in Texas.

Emily was a frequent lab partner who turned into a close friend during physical therapy school. Emily currently works at an outpatient orthopedics PT clinic near Detroit Michigan and has a passion for high level sports and research driven PT. She loves being active and playing disc golf in her free time.

Tara and Maya became close friends in PT school bonding over their love of fantasy and fiction. She currently works as an inpatient rehabilitation physical therapist near Detroit Michigan. She has a passion for helping people return to daily life after neurologic or cardiovascular accidents. She loves to read, hike, and hang out with her dog Athena in her spare time.

I grew up all over the milwaukee area, and went to school with Jamal at the university of Platteville. I currently live with my girlfriend Isabel, with our dog Murphy, and cat Paco. While I did go to college with Jamal, we actually first met at Oak Creek highschool. Now I know y’all probably think we planned to attend Platteville together, but it was actually completely by chance! But little did I know, this completely random coincidence would change me and my life forever.

I have been friends with Jamal since we were in High School. We continued to grow our friendship throughout college where we both attended UW-Platteville. We shared classes, dorm rooms, and would hang out regularly during our time there. We have shared countless memories together over the years, including my own wedding where Jamal was a groomsman. I am so happy that Jamal and Maya have found each other and am honored to be a part of their special day!

I was born and raised in northwestern Illinois. I moved to Wisconsin to attend college at UW-Platteville, and that was where I had the pleasure to meet Jamal. We joined the same fraternity and became close friends and even roommates! Today, I live in Green Bay, Wisconsin. I work in the dairy industry working directly with dairy farmers. I enjoy spending time outdoors doing all kinds of activities like fishing and golfing, and in the winter time I play competitive hockey for the De Pere Deacons in the GLHL.

I hail from Rockford, Illinois. I am a tech ed instructor in Southwest Wisconsin and am currently engaged to my fiance, Haiden. I‘ve known Jamal since the beginning of freshman year at UW-Platteville. It’s been a privilege to be great friends with him and he can never fail to hype up a party!

I am a construction Project Manager for Kramer construction. I first met Jamal as a pledge brother at Platteville and our energies would just click like we’ve known each other for years. We have always had fond memories, laughs, adventures, and occasionally burst out dance moves to pitbull together.

I’m a fun-loving passionate guy who takes pride in everything I do. Currently, I am a district manager for the local Green Bay newspaper and as of Dec 2023 have gotten engaged to my amazing fiancé Cassie. I was born and raised in Green Bay, WI where I met Jamal many moons ago in kindergarten. As years have gone by nothing stopped us from being part of each other’s life. I am truly blessed to have found a life long friend/brother.
